The Seventh Sweats Festival

ABOUT FESTIVAL:

Section Title Separator

„Siódme Poty Teatru” – name of the festival, exists partly as an expression in polish language. It means „working up a sweat” and in the context of the festival it refers to struggle, determination and satisfaction in creating a theatre which aims to speak about important issues, touch deep layers of sensitivity amongst the audience and change something. The festival will promote different theatre forms – physical theatre, drama theatre, puppet theatre and movement theatre.

I Festival, Seventh Sweats of the Theater

ABOUT THE EDITION:

The main motto of this year’s edition of the festival are the words of the outstanding Russian actor and educator Mikhail Chekhov, Antonin Chekhov’s nephew, who conveyed the following words to his young students in California:
“Don’t feel that by only performing in New York, you are not making an impact on the world. You come in. When you perform badly, you don’t influence anyone, but when you do something that has real meaning, you affect the whole world. ”
By creating the Festival in Kluczbork, we want to influence the local audience and familiarize them with various forms of theater, which is not indifferent to what is happening around us!
The event is financed by the Kluczbork commune, Kluczbork poviat and the Self-government of the Opole Voivodeship.
